With a couple more W’s in the bag, the Chester County Boys Basketball team remains undefeated after having two 22-point wins against both Fayette Academy (73-51) and Crockett County (76-54). This puts their record at 5-0.
In their game against Fayette Academy, Senior Chad Barham nearly scored half of the points for the Eagles by racking up 24 total points Thursday night.
During that matchup, it was anyone’s game in the first half, but the Eagles ran away with the victory in the second half.
On Friday against Crockett, Chance Thompson was on fire from the three-point line and made a huge impact on the scoreboard with Barham. Both Eagles scored 19 points against the Cavaliers.
There were times the Cavaliers seemed to close in on the Eagles’ score, but the Eagles remained in complete control of the game.

In the Eaglettes’ games, they were 1-1 last week with the win over Fayette Academy and a loss to Crockett.
The Eaglettes completely demolished Fayette Academy 46-8. With points spread among varsity and junior varsity players, Jariyah Williamson led her team in points after scoring 13 and Brooke Ketchum followed her by scoring 12.
The next game was not an easy one. Though they lost, it was a very close matchup.
The Chester County girls, playing against Crockett County, were facing off against a team that is known to be good and was undefeated so far.
They did not let that get to their heads though as they rose to the challenge and fought for the game and were almost able to pull off an upset.
Eaglette Aly Campbell tied the scoreboard at 46 with about 45 seconds left in the game. At that point Crockett County held the ball in order to get the last shot. The Eaglettes unfortunately fouled Crockett with 5.4 seconds left and the Lady Cavaliers scored both free throws to give them the two-point lead that would win the game. The Eaglettes tried to get down court for one quick shot but could not. Thus, the final score was Eaglettes 46 and Lady Cavaliers 48.
Though it was a loss, Head Coach Lee Pipkin said she was still very proud of her team for rising up to the challenge and playing to the potential she knew they had.
Both Williamson and JuJu Prather earned double digits with Williamson scoring 16 points and Prather scoring 11.
The CCHS Girls Basketball team is now 3-2 for the season.
This week, they played Trinity Christian Academy on Tuesday and will play Jackson Christian for Homecoming on Friday.
